We’re Thomas Cavanaugh and Kristy Malik, co-founders and friends who believe no one is too far gone to grow in holiness. Our work is centered on the Transcendental Types—a framework that blends timeless theology with practical tools for spiritual maturity. We help people discover how they’re made, by whom, and for what purpose.
Thomas, a former Catholic priest and Unity 2 Peacemaker, developed the framework through years of study and pastoral work. Kristy, a Truth 3 Orator with a passion for clarity and authenticity, brings it to life with real-world application through ministry, business, and family.
Together, we guide individuals, couples, ministries, and parishes to discover and embrace their God-given identity and walk boldly in their calling – through workshops, retreats, and when helpful, one-on-one accompaniment. Fr. Seraphim Baalbaki, CFR
Chaplain
Father Seraphim Baalbaki, C.F.R., is a priest of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal and an adjunct professor of philosophy at St. Joseph’s Seminary in the Archdiocese of New York. Born in Greece and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he studied computer science and mathematics at Cornell University, worked for a startup in Austin, Texas, and pursued doctoral studies in computer science. Through the prayers of his mother, sister, and grandmother, Father Seraphim experienced a dramatic encounter with the living God that led him from unbelief to a profound faith in Jesus Christ and radically changed the course of his life. After earning a graduate degree in theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville, he answered the Lord’s call to religious life and entered the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal in 2011. Since then, he has lived out his consecration to the Lord through the vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience, sharing in the friars’ mission of evangelization and service to the poor and homeless. He later earned a graduate degree in Catholic philosophy and was ordained to the priesthood in 2022. Following his ordination, Father Seraphim taught philosophy at St. Joseph’s Seminary while serving as Director of Young Adult Ministry at the St. Francis Youth Center in the Bronx. He is currently pursuing a Licentiate in Canon Law at the Catholic University of America and is honored and delighted to serve as a chaplain for Jonah Company.
Fr. Joe Kim
Chaplain
Father Joe Kim is a priest of the Diocese of San Jose and serves as pastor of St. John Vianney Parish. Raised in San Jose, he credits his grandmother, parents, parish communities, and peers at the Newman Center at UC Berkeley with nurturing his faith and deepening his love for Jesus Christ and the Church. After graduating from UC Berkeley’s College of Engineering, Father Joe worked as a product engineer in Silicon Valley. Inspired by the witness of St. John Paul II and encouraged by a vibrant young-adult Catholic community, he responded to God’s call and began discerning the priesthood through the Priestly Discernment Program at Franciscan University of Steubenville. He continued his formation at St. Patrick’s Seminary and was ordained a priest in 2010. Father Joe has served as a parochial vicar, Diocesan Vocations Director, and pastor. He holds a Licentiate in Sacred Theology from Sacred Heart Major Seminary and a Doctorate in Sacred Theology from the Angelicum in Rome. His vocation, ministry, and studies are rooted in helping others joyfully embrace their identity as beloved sons and daughters of God in Jesus Christ. He believes Jonah Company furthers this mission and is honored to serve as a chaplain.
