These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website, assessments, digital content, workshops, trainings, certification programs, and mobile application (collectively, the “Services”) provided by Jonah Company (“Jonah Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. About Jonah Company and Our Services
Jonah Company provides faith-based educational and formational tools rooted in Catholic teaching, including personality assessments, written and digital reports, workshops, retreats, training materials, certification programs, and software applications.
The Services are designed to support self-understanding, spiritual growth, leadership development, and relational insight for individuals, families, parishes, schools, ministries, and organizations.
Jonah Company may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time.
2. Educational and Spiritual Nature of Content
All assessments, content, reports, insights, recommendations, and materials provided through the Services are offered for educational, spiritual, and formational purposes only.
Jonah Company does not provide medical, psychological, psychiatric, clinical, or licensed therapeutic services. The Services are not a substitute for professional mental health care, medical treatment, or licensed counseling.
Users are responsible for how they interpret and apply the information provided and are encouraged to seek appropriate professional, pastoral, or clinical support when needed.
3. Spiritual Direction and Coaching Services
Certain individuals affiliated with Jonah Company, including Thomas Cavanaugh, may separately offer spiritual direction or coaching services.
These services are distinct from Jonah Company’s general Services and may require a separate agreement, intake process, consent, or scheduling arrangement.
Spiritual direction and coaching are faith-based practices focused on prayer, discernment, and spiritual growth. They do not constitute medical treatment, psychological therapy, or licensed mental health services and do not replace such care.
Jonah Company is not responsible for the content, outcomes, or pastoral relationship formed through individual spiritual direction or coaching engagements.
4. No Guarantee of Results
While many users experience insight, clarity, or growth through the Services, Jonah Company makes no guarantees regarding specific outcomes, personal transformation, spiritual progress, relational change, or vocational discernment.
Individual experiences and results vary.
5. User Accounts and Responsibilities
Some Services require the creation of a user account.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and current information
- Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
- Accept responsibility for all activity conducted under your account
You may not:
- Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data
- Interfere with the security or operation of the Services
- Use the Services for unlawful, abusive, misleading, or harmful purposes
6. Payments, Subscriptions, and Refunds
Certain Services require payment, including assessments, reports, subscriptions, workshops, certifications, or organizational offerings.
Prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated. Payments are processed through secure third-party providers. Jonah Company does not store credit card information.
Due to the digital and personalized nature of many Services, all sales are final unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase.
Subscription terms, renewal policies, and cancellation options (if applicable) will be disclosed prior to enrollment.
7. Intellectual Property Rights
All content and materials provided through the Services—including assessments, reports, frameworks, methodologies, written content, graphics, videos, trademarks, logos, and software—are the intellectual property of Jonah Company.
This includes, without limitation, Transcendental Types™ and all related materials.
Users may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, license, or create derivative works from Jonah Company content without prior written permission.
Personal use of purchased materials is permitted. Commercial, ministerial, or organizational reuse requires explicit authorization.
8. Certification and Use of Jonah Company Content by Third Parties
Jonah Company may offer certification programs that allow individuals (“Certified Users”) to use certain Jonah Company materials within their own coaching, spiritual direction, ministry, or educational practices.
Certified Users are independent practitioners and are not employees, agents, representatives, or fiduciaries of Jonah Company.
Jonah Company does not supervise, control, or assume responsibility for:
- Sessions, guidance, or advice provided by Certified Users
- The spiritual, pastoral, or professional conduct of Certified Users
- Outcomes resulting from their independent practice
Certified Users are solely responsible for complying with applicable laws, professional standards, and ecclesial norms relevant to their vocation or role.
Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, agency, partnership, or representative relationship between Jonah Company and any Certified User.
9. Organizational and Parish Use
When Services are accessed through a parish, school, ministry, or organization, use may be subject to additional agreements or permissions established by that organization.
Individual users retain ownership of their personal data, as described in the Privacy Policy. Aggregated or anonymized insights may be shared with organizations as outlined in the Privacy Policy.
10. Children and Minors
The Services are intended for users age 13 and older unless accessed through a school, parish, or parent-authorized program.
Minors may only use the Services with the consent and supervision of a parent, guardian, or authorized organizational leader. Jonah Company does not knowingly provide Services to children without appropriate consent.
11. Third-Party Services and Links
The Services may contain links to or integrations with third-party platforms or tools. Jonah Company is not responsible for the content, practices, or policies of third parties.
Use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and policies.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jonah Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the Services.
Use of the Services is at your own discretion and risk.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jonah Company, its founders, team members, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:
- Misuse of the Services
- Violation of these Terms
- Unauthorized use of Jonah Company intellectual property
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Jonah Company is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
15. Changes to These Terms
Jonah Company may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted with a revised effective date.
Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
